Take-Home Exercise for Candidates

This exercise seeks to cover a real-world problem related to the day-to-day work of the job the candidate is going to do, and help us assess whether the candidate has the qualities we look for in remote hires. This exercise is not trivia questions, technical puzzles, riddles, or brainteasers.

Task 1: Demonstrate how you plan to make specific, meaningful contributions to the Agapic community.

• Step 1: Draft a task that
  • takes into consideration your background – personal, professional, and/or academic;
  • demonstrates your ability to excel at the job you’ve applied for; and
  • is directionally aligned with Agapic’s current work.
• Step 2: Discuss your task with Agapic, and explain how your task achieves Step 1 and will achieve Task 1.
• Step 3: Iterate and finalize your task with Agapic.
• Step 4: Execute your task successfully.
• Step 5: Share your results with Agapic before your next interview.

Task 2: Essay: How does working at Agapic help you achieve your future personal or professional goals?

• 250 words or less.
• You might consider your past experience, short and long-term goals, Agapic’s values, and Agapic’s mission and purpose.
• Submit the essay before your next interview.
